In your opinion, how much trouble are we in ahead of the new season?
There’s usually some angst every summer, but it feels pretty justified this time round. It’s hard to remember quite so much concern for a while.

Best player gone, a few more looking likely to leave. No sign at all of any replacements a week out from the new season. Coaches leaving. Rumours of massive internal disharmony at the club. Dismal preseason with no hint of playing any Decent football. All improbably coming off the back of winning a European trophy albeit at the end of not a great season overall.

So how will we actually do, in your opinion? Are we destined for a miserable season at the foot of the table and early cup exits? Are we going to end up mid table, or are we going to somehow exceed all expectations and have a good season?

Thoughts? Is this the most depressed you’ve been going into a season in recent times or is there no need to panic?

Isn't the general consensus that we will be much better once Moyes has gone and that we have some good players? So based on that we will only be in trouble while he's here, correct? and I can't see him being here much longer.

And let's not start with the silly we're going down nonsense, Luton and Sheff Utd are already down, and there is a stack of other shit down there this season.

Re: In your opinion, how much trouble are we in ahead of the new season?
I’m one of those who thinks that these players could deliver much more under another manager, so should it be a dreadful start then there is that to cling on to.

The lack of signings really concerns me. The squad was tiny last season and it’s gotten smaller. Lots of holes. If reinforcements are coming then we are leaving it bloody late to get them bedded in.

As for whether we go down or not, I am pretty confident Luton will be awful at least. I can’t see anything but a big struggle as things stand, but the first five games will tell us a lot and I don’t want to condemn us until I see the lie of the land. We could well be this season’s Leicester.

Have to think Moyes is one foot out the door. There’s no way a manager who has been there that long with the cup win would have zero plan to execute signings (might play better with the]at fear in them) before the start of the season.

If Moyes stays for more than 5 games we are in a shitload of trouble.

If Moyes goes either before the start of the season, or shortly after I do have some hope.

The main thing that needs to change, other than signings, is to get Antonio and Soucek out of the team. Both technically terrible footballers who can't be relied on at all. As long as Moyes is here, we will always struggle with them in the team as it's like playing with 9. Possibly worse than that as they give the ball away too much for PL footballers.

We are in relegation trouble, believe me. The first 5 fixtures are bad enough, add to the current situation the loss of confidence and belief that will take root after those games and we have a season of fucking turmoil ahead.

Thank you, Sullivan and Moyes.

We're in that much trouble I'm in Spain right now on holiday and I'm trying to log into my skybet account to have a lump on use being relegated.

Sky have us 9/1 at the moment, with ten teams listed as more likely to drop. Seems pretty generous unless they know something we don’t.

I heard Moyes yesterday went from 11/1 to 6/4 favourite for the first manager to be sacked. Here's hoping sky know something 🤞🏻

I'm looking forward to season, yes we need few more players
I think we will smash Bournemouth and Luton, plus we will have some great trips in Europe no problem right up till at least March
Could also have a good cup run

Re: In your opinion, how much trouble are we in ahead of the new season?
I don’t think Bournemouth and Luton are in any way easy games for us. Moyes dosent do away games generally. We’ll play for a point and lose.

If we don’t win any of the first five his ass better be gone or we are fucked as a premier league side.

Re: In your opinion, how much trouble are we in ahead of the new season?
Big trouble. It’s been a disastrous transfer window and pre-season, nobody believes in Moyes as a manager and the owner won’t sack because he doesn’t give a fuck about what happens on the pitch.

This mess is going to take all season to clean up and was totally predictable and avoidable.

How is it a disastrous transfer window when it doesn't close in over 3 weeks? You really think we won't sign anyone in that time?

Unless we bin Moyes off, we are going to be lucky to stay up.

We have the smallest and oldest squad in the league, and play the worst type of football.

Something very strange is going on at the club. To be on the eve of the season start and to have done nothing is ridiculous

How much trouble??? Yes. Fucking loads.

We are bang in trouble. And yet again the blame lies with that fucking cunt dwarf sullivan and that stubborn dinosaur moyes

This is gonna be a long horrible season... and right off the back of the euphoria of the euro Cup.

Typical west ham. Take something great and manage to fuck it right up.

We are in a whole world of shit. The last 2 seasons Moyes has just been warming up for the big clusterfuck finale. Roll up, roll up, the circus is back in town.

Lots of trouble.

Poor form from one season tends to bleed into the next - looks at Leeds, Leicester & Southampton.

Our form has been shit for a while.

We needed a refresh and it hasn't happened. Already expecting another season of misery. As a deluded fan I expect many signings later on and a major uplift in form. Like I say, deluded.
